out and about

Libby got her license today! Way to go Libby. I'm so proud of you, my precious 16 year old. You're beautiful inside and out and now you can run to the store for me. Yeah!!! Her first try she didn't make it bc the lady giving the test was mean and scared her. When she was turning back into the parking lot where she took the test, she was in the lane to turn left and there was an older woman (OLDER than me!) turning in from the right. The lady stopped and was fiddling with her cell phone so Libby went ahead and turned in. She didn't pass the test because she turned when she didn't have the right of way. Poor baby was so sad! It doesn't matter now though because today she passed!!!!! YAHOO!!! Oh, and thanks really nice man who gave her the test today. It really doesn't cost any more to just be nice. We do so appreciate you!

To the man driving the black Hummer on the interstate today...If you're going to run nice suburban homemakers off the road you should really take all bumper stickers about JESUS off of your vehicle!!! Grrrrrr!

This whole blogging thing is funny so far. I haven't even told anyone my blog address and here I am yakking away to...myself. *smile*

Where do I begin?

Right off the bat I am laughing at myself because of my complete randomness. Is that a word? I wrote out my title for this first post, and let me tell you that I'm just obsessive enough that I had to really think it through, and immediately thought of the movie Love Story. (If you're too young to get that train of thought it's how the theme song begins.) That led me to humming the theme song, which let me to searching for it online, and then on to find the lyrics. I am listening to Andy Williams sing about Preppie's feelings for Ali McGraw's character and I will be really sad if the library doesn't have the movie when I check in a few minutes. I want to watch it tomorrow!

(I think blogging may take way too much time!!! I haven't even really said anything yet and I need a nap! Hmmm...maybe that's because it's the middle of the night.)

I'm mostly a blog lurker so this is a big step for me. I started out reading a few blogs when Lisa Whelchel posted some blog suggestions on her online journal. Now I have several that I'm pretty much addicted to. I call the people by their blog names so I may say to someone, "well BooMama or Big Mama or Lots of Scotts or In the Midst of It" said...whatever they said. And then there are the ones I read just to keep up with friends like Julia or DeeDee or any number of people like Jennifer V. , Virge, Karen B, and on and on. Of course I can't miss my son Chuck. He doesn't post often but when he does it's either hilarious or really good spiritual food for thought. Last, but not at all least, I read Jason's and Page's blogs. I love those two and they are my friends and children of my heart that I met when Chuck, Bret, and Lilah were at Southeastern Bible College.

Okay, I've played for almost an hour. This is fun! Please check back often!!!
